Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best kosher flip phone?
Depends on your needs: MegaLife F1 for the most apps and filtered WhatsApp, Qin F30 for simplicity, Kyocera DuraXA 4831 for rugged durability, TCL Flip for budget, Fig for US-made build with replaceable batteries.
Which kosher phones have a mobile hotspot?
Hotspot can be enabled on request on our kosher smartphones (Samsung Galaxy and Pixel models) and on the MegaLife Zen (enabled in-store at purchase). Flip and basic phones (TCL, Kyocera, Qin, Fig, Wonder, Sonim, Coolpad) do not support hotspot.
Which kosher phones have GPS navigation like Waze or Google Maps?
The MegaLife F1, Kyocera 4831, Wonder Phone, and all koshered Samsung/Pixel smartphones support Waze and/or Google Maps. The Qin F30 includes built-in Waze. Talk-only models have no navigation.
Which kosher phones have a camera?
Most models include cameras: MegaLife F1, Qin F30, Kyocera 4831, Fig, Wonder Phone, and all koshered Samsung/Pixel smartphones. Talk-only models like the Wonder Talk-Only omit them.
Can the Kosher Cell filter be bypassed or uninstalled?
No. The filter is installed at the operating-system level — it is not a parental-control app that can be deleted, and it survives a factory reset. Only Kosher Cell can remove it, after verifying the account owner.
Do Kosher Cell phones work on Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile?
Our phones are unlocked and work on major US carriers and MVNOs, or on our own Teltik-based plans. One note: Verizon lines sometimes need "CDMA-less" features removed by Verizon support to fix missing texts.
