Know before you buy

• Some apps crash or won't open
Some customers found apps (for example Uber) stuck on a white screen or closing on open. Installing the latest system update fixed most cases.
What helps: Check for system updates first. If problems continue, a factory reset fixes most cases; back the phone up before resetting.
• Data may need manual APN setup
On some carriers, especially Israeli SIMs, mobile data and picture messages do not work until the carrier's APN is entered by hand. Israeli SIMs may not work well in the Qin at all.
What helps: Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names, add the carrier's APN and select it.
• No Life360 location sharing By design
The Qin cannot run Life360. Parents who want to see a child's location should choose a kosher smartphone instead.
• Cracked screens are a common repair
Screen damage is one of the most common Qin repairs we see. A case and glass screen protector are strongly recommended.
What helps: Screen repair is available in store.
• Screen can switch to a narrow view
The screen can suddenly shrink to a narrow strip. Nothing is broken, and it can be switched back.
What helps: Hold the Back key for about five seconds and choose the regular size.
