What makes the TAK S7 kosher
The TAK S7 is a kosher phone built around a clever idea: Waze is only visible on your car's screen, and only when connected via Android Auto — the phone itself stays clean. USB-C charging with an original adapter for earphones, a high-quality speaker, long battery and standby life, and a clear 2.8-inch screen. Per the manufacturer, the Talk-Only version is approved by זך.
Kosher smartphones and select models run a pre-screened set of apps — see our approved app bundles.

Frequently asked questions
What is a kosher phone?
A kosher phone is a phone modified to remove web browsers, social media, and inappropriate content while keeping essentials like calls, texts, and approved apps. Built for Orthodox Jewish standards, now used by anyone wanting focused tech.
Do Kosher Cell phones work on Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile?
Most of our phones are unlocked and work on major US carriers and MVNOs. We also offer our own service: kosher plans on T-Mobile starting at $8.50/mo, plus Verizon and AT&T service through Wing. Our T-Mobile and AT&T plans need an unlocked phone; the Wing Verizon plan also works on the carrier-locked TCL Flip. One note: Verizon lines sometimes need "CDMA-less" features removed by Verizon support to fix missing texts.
What network do Kosher Cell plans run on?
Our kosher plans run on T-Mobile with nationwide coverage, and we also offer Verizon and AT&T service through Wing. Plans range from $8.50/mo (talk + text) to $40/mo (unlimited), with hotspot included on data plans and Canada/Mexico calling included at $18/mo and up.
How long does it take to get a kosher phone?
Phones ship Sunday through Thursday from Lakewood, NJ; most US orders arrive within a few business days. Local customers can pick up in store at 1700 Madison Ave, Unit 30, Lakewood.
Where can I buy a kosher phone?
Online at koshercell.org with US and international shipping, or in person at our Lakewood store: 1700 Madison Ave, Unit 30, Lakewood, NJ 08701 (Gentech Tech Center). Call (848) 299-4081 for help choosing.
Are kosher phones safe for teens who try to bypass restrictions?
Yes. The filter is built into the phone's operating system — it is not an app that can be deleted or switched off. Even a factory reset will not remove it: the phone stays kosher.
